Payroll & Data Specialist (257)

JOB SUMMARY: Assist Accounting Manager with daily payroll & data functions for Hancock Health and all other entities.



The following list describes the essential duties of this role. Individuals in this role may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.

  • Processing and distribution of payroll and related reports for Hancock Health
  • Maintain payroll module and API timekeeping software
  • Complete and file payroll taxes with State and Federal departments
  • Assist with maintaining Cost Accounting Module
  • Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets for all entities
  • Assist with benchmarking analysis, processing, and distribution of reports for Hancock Health
  • Maintain and complete various annual filings with outside agencies
  • Assist with statistical reporting
  • Provide assistance in special projects as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality

Position Requirements


  • Associate or Bachelor of Science from accredited college or university. Mandatory Annual Education.
  • Previous payroll experience required.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting functions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office programs, with advanced knowledge of excel.
  • Skill in attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both written and oral.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
