At Gaggle, we help schools prevent suicide, self-harm, violence and bullying. As a Linux Systems Administrator at Gaggle, you'll support this mission through the provisioning, operation, and optimization of a complex, highly-available hybrid infrastructure, and you'll help save students' lives in the process.
Here's how we like to work:

Leverage automation and configuration management to ensure high availability of key systems and resources

Fine-tune our monitoring systems to maximize visibility, limit downtime, and reduce time to resolution for systems issues

Utilize open-source operating systems and tools, building custom tooling and applications where shrink-wrapped software doesn't fit the bill

Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and other teams to dig deep and provide solutions

Develop and maintain systems standards, promoting innovation and incorporating key ideas such as CI/CD, security, and reliability
We will look to you to help us solve challenges such as:

Strengthen, maintain and optimize the infrastructure in our physical data center

Execution and improvement of software deployment systems and processes

Implement and promote the use of hybrid cloud infrastructure models and methodologies

Ongoing attention to information security and related best practices
Candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance to downtown Los Angeles to ensure rapid response times.
