The Black List is a technology startup and a film and television production company whose mission is to identify and celebrate great screenwriting and the people who do it, wherever they may be. The company does so via its annual list of the industry's most-liked unproduced screenplays, its technology platform offering writers and industry professionals a marketplace for great material, its diversity lists, its screenwriters labs, and its film and television productions. Numerous Black List scripts have gone on to be produced and several have turned into Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning films (The Imitation Game, Juno, The King's Speech, Argo).

Position Requirements

Ideal interns are likely the sort of people who have strong opinions on some, if not all, of the following: the Oscars, Movie posters, book and album covers, fine art, architecture, fashion (haute couture, street, and where the two meet), the aesthetics of television ads, film and television company logos, Clubhouse, and whether RottenTomatoes or Metacritic is more useful. More importantly, they're the sort of people who can communicate those strong opinions effectively with people who disagree without being disagreeable.

The Summer 2021 internship will take place virtually due to Covid.
