Lead Operations Engineer 

Description

Working understanding of PDP and assigned product/processes

Represent plant on Product Development Team, provide input for gate reviews, and ensure that issues are escalated, and resolved in a timely manner

Lead MSD, OSD workshops with PDT team, and maintain overall launch readiness with regular reviews

Develop work content, cell layouts, parts presentation, and material flow for all process

Maintain operator work instructions, and support training employees

Estimate, track, and implement engineering changes

Lead team in lean workshops and continuous improvement activities (Kaizen)

Conduct ergo assessments of the manufacturing processes as required with EHS rep., and drive improvements

Maintain overall equipment capacities

Maintain focus on safety, quality, and cost reduction improvements

Create and modify PFMEA's, PFD's, and coordinate changes with PCP’s.

Maintain mBOM’s

 
Position Requirements

3-5 years Manufacturing Experience

Good understanding of lean concepts, and able to lead lean workshops

Work experience in Industrial/Product/Manufacturing Engineering and Operations

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Leadership skills to conduct workshops and drive continuous improvement

Excellent problem solving skills

Work effectively in a team environment

AutoCAD experience

Familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

 

PREFERRED

Knowledge of ergo assessments

Knowledge of interiors, and door panels

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

 
Education Requirement Associate's Degree required, B.S. Engineering (Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering) Preferred
