Quality Manager 

Description

Leadership role responsible for the Quality Management System

Lead, and ensure proper customer, and supplier interface and support

Maintain quality objectives to meet all plant, and corporate policies and goals

Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel within the organization

Responsible for developing and maintaining plant quality support team to ensure quality metrics and goals are met.

Lead with the Quality team Customer issues / Fast Response, Supplier issues, Scrap Reduction, and drive Continuous Improvement Activities

Supervise, coach and mentor the Quality team

Manage the Gage calibration program

Review data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure continuous improvement

Play an active role with the quality management teams within the organization

Coordinate with the quality team to insure internal and external support

Investigate and address customer complaints regarding quality proactively, and in a timely manner.

Knowledge and proven use of problem solving skills; 5-Why, PPS, Six Sigma, Kepner Tregoe, and Shainin

Lead/delegate the layered audit activities within the plant, and assure all findings are captured and resolved in a timely manner.

Meet company requirements for timely completion of all subordinates performance evaluations or performance discussions (as required)

Ensure personal, associate, and plant awareness and compliance to BIQS Standards

Assure corrective action(s) are implemented to close all internal / external findings

Participate/organize/support corrective action activities as necessary

 
Position Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing/quality experience

Demonstrated LEAN competency and leadership to include problem solving skills (Kepner Tregoe, Shainin, & ect..)

Proven leadership ability in high stress environments

Strong interpersonal skills

Proven planning and organizational abilities

Knowledge of quality processes, and procedures

Understanding of PPAP, APQP, and IATF requirements.

Knowledge, and application of statistics, and SPC

GP&T, and blueprint reading familiarity

 Ability to motivate and provide direction to all levels of the organization.

 
Education Requirement Associate's Degree REQUIRED with 10 plus year of experience, Bachelors Degree in Engineering PREFERRED
