Associate Marketing Graphic Designer 


Position Summary: Associate Marketing Designer is an entry level role to provide graphic design support by assisting Marketing Department to create the visual materials that represent all brands within the Convivial Brands umbrella. This individual will report to the Marketing Project Manager and effectively collaborate with Creative team members, Marketing Manager and Sales to provide support by creating marketing materials including digital and print sales materials, and other assets as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Producing data merges, digital plan-o-grams, hotspotting catalogs, data sheets for sales materials, bulk photo editing, naming and organizing photos and any other necessities for key accounts.
  • Fulfills image requests from the Sales teams.
  • Responsible for creating and uploading images to the Sales portal, FTP site, or any other relevant data hub.
  • Understanding project requirements and deadlines.
  • Design and produce marketing and sales materials for digital and print.
  • Creates and maintains sales support materials including point of purchase and tradeshow displays.
  • Supports the Marketing Manager at the product and catalog photography shoots as needed.
  • Assists with trade shows/events material preparation as needed.
  • Be a brand supporter-maintaining brand standards and composition for each client/brand.
  • Create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate an audience.
  • Participates in brainstorms to develop innovative content that is brand right and supports marketing strategies to meet sales, retailer and consumer needs.
  • Stay abreast of relevant trends in copy, design, illustration, type, and color, and find ways to incorporate them into new concepts.
  • Keep up-to-date with trends in digital marketing efforts (social media and google ads, software, etc.) and traditional marketing efforts (print, magazine ads, catalog development, etc.).
  • Illustrates concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to enhance knowledge of typography, layout, and composition, & color theory to apply original ideas to projects.
  • Brainstorming, mocking up, and making design/layout recommendations based on knowledge of layout principles and artistic design concepts.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

  • Proactive communication and collaboration with the creative team and other stakeholders to plan, conceptualize, create, analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects.
  • Work as part of the creative team to develop and maintain effective and consistent graphics that support brand and sales strategies.
  • Be flexible and endorses changes in the work environment in ways that help enhance each brand within the Convivial Brands umbrella.
  • Ability to receive and give constructive feedback, respectfully, from other team members with an open mind-knowing that the end goal is doing what is right for the organization.
  • Build strong cross functional relationships with business and Sales partners to create solutions that meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the overall marketing team, creative team, sales team and other stakeholders to plan, on building sales materials, catalogs, social media collateral, and other materials to properly execute assigned projects and tell each brand's story.

Workflow Management:

  • Proactively prioritizes projects, and assignments from Sales request forms and the content calendar with some supervision, from creation to completion meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
  • Consistently meets all project and task deadlines as assigned by Marketing Project Manager and/or Marketing Manager.
  • Be flexible and adapt to changes in the work environment in ways that helps other members keep projects on course.
  • Effectively use the time available to complete work tasks and activities that lead to the achievement of expected work objectives.
  • Maintains and organizes the marketing materials library while working through projects.
  • Catalogs and files all materials in a logical and easily accessible manner; ensures they are continuously up to date.
  • Proficiency in workflow of Convivial Brands, searching internal data bases, marketing-funnel execution.
