Description

Description: The Inventory Specialist Assistant for SafeStreets is to assist the Inventory Finance Manager in completing tasks, reporting, and resolving problems to support Special Operations. This person must assist in carrying out certain administration and procedural tasks to support our field personnel and customers with inventory. This person must also establish and maintain positive relationships with inventory vendors, field operations, and administration teams.

Inventory Specialist Assistant Job Duties:

Manage inventory warehouse stock levels and fulfillment using CRM (Salesforce). Requires accurate counting, safe packaging, and detailed reporting. Must be able to drive to/from warehouse locations with room for hauling small and large size boxes.

Manage inventory warehouse spillage and returns. Requires accurate counting, organizing, and submitting vendor reporting. Verify field spillage reporting matches inventory delivered. Be able to problem solve through issues that arise.

Maintain daily reporting of purchases & installations for Special Operations teams. Daily and weekly audits performed to help lower financial variance. Assists with additional forecasting, auditing, and variance reporting.

Assist in fulfilling purchase order requests in a timely, organized manner. Focus on identifying errors in judgment, giving clear answers to field operations, and prompt responses to questions or problems. Must be able to quickly answer phone calls, texts, emails, and other department communications.

Perform other related duties as assigned. Willingness to allow for flexibility in job duties each day.

Physical Requirements:

The Inventory Specialist Assistant position is approximately 40% physical and 60% sedentary.

Position Requirements:

  • Sets an example of professional tactful communication skills and a demeanor that is in accordance with company policy
  • Quickly and willfully carries out The Inventory Control Process as Designed by the Director of Inventory
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Customer Service Experience preferred in order to fulfill a support role to the Installation Department
  • Superior organization, communication, and reporting skills
  • Capacity to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Excellent report writing and record keeping ability

Physical Requirements:

The Inventory Control Specialist position is approximately 30% physical and 70% sedentary.
