ROHADFOX is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with regional offices throughout the United States.   Description TheAssistant Construction Manager is responsible for construction administration of Design-Build projects for the GDOT Office of Innovative Delivery. Duties: Provide construction administration and technical project management support to the Construction Manager for the Office of Innovative Delivery Design Build projects in accordance with GDOT policies, procedures and manuals. Understand and enforce construction contracts and plans. Understand and enforce GDOT policies, procedures and construction manuals. Coordinate between Contractor, and Office of Innovative Delivery Construction Management Team. Prepare for and attend project meetings. Ensure the Contractor submits accurate and punctual project meeting minutes as required by the Design-Build Contract Documents. Manage day to day inspector sampling testing and inspection services to ensure the projects are being built in accordance with the Design-Build Contract Documents and . Coordinate schedules for sampling and testing functions with OMAT to maintain project schedule. Ensure the inspectors are maintaining the proper documentation to support review of contractor pay estimates. Final approved Construction Plans. Coordinate submittals, RFIs and non-conformance reports to ensure timely handling to maintain project quality and schedule. Provide information for time extensions, additional funding and supplemental agreements to construction manager for review and approval. Provide information to construction manager for GDOT project reports. Input and maintain information using HNTB software E-Builder and GDOT software SITEMANAGER. Other duties as assignmened or requested by management. Judgement and Initiative Become familiar with GDOT policies, procedures and manuals and Design-Build project documents in order to provide a quality project, on time and within budget. Work with supervisor to provide required support to maintain GDOT management confidence. Managerial Scope Supervise the CEI Inspection Team to ensure documentation of daily reports, sampling and testing, construction quality and payment applications are being handled correctly. Provide inspector training as required to ensure quality inspections of project. Communicate with Office of Innovative Delivery Construction Manager on major issues impacting the project.   Position Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, a PE License is strongly preferred. 10 - 12 years of experience in highway and bridge construction field work and construction administration. Proficient in using software packages such as Word, Excel, and Power Point. Ability to use GDOT current software packages, SITEMANAGER, e-Builder, Atser Assure It and others after training.
