Description

Assumes accountability for overall operations and profitability of the service, parts, and prep departments. Ensures that the departments offer the highest level of customer service.

What You Will Do

Forecasts goals and objectives for the departments and strives to meet them

Hires, train, motivates and monitors the performance of the service, parts and prep departments

Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the departments of responsibility

Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the manufacturer

Strives for harmony and teamwork within the departments and with all other departments

Understand, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations

Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures

Establishes and maintains good working relationships with internal and external customers to encourage repeat and referral business

Fosters professional employee development and coordinates with department managers to determine need for advanced training.

Coach and counsel Service Consultants to develop them and to help them achieve new objectives.

Hold regularly scheduled team meetings. Maintains high quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality

Makes customer satisfaction a department priority, ensuring that service and parts personnel are courteous and respectful in their interaction with customers

Develops dealership service and parts pricing plans and recommends to general manager

Work with service, parts and prep manager to find ways to improve the overall profitability of the dealership

Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases

Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities

Serves as a liaison with manufacturer representatives

Maintains safe work environment

Guide and direct the activities of servicing staff to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency

Attend industry events and conferences to update job knowledge and expand personal network

Additional duties may be assigned.

Day to day responsibilities:

Setting a clear vision and goals for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance

Driving a highly efficient sales and production operation to get customers in and out quickly while ensuring our 'fix it right the first time' brand promise is upheld

Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations, and Zimbrick best practice processes

Attracting, developing, and retaining the very best talent for the store

Creating and exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty

Managing the business in accordance with Zimbrick and manufacturer requirements and processes

Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance

Driving the business through a high-level of involvement in the day-to-day operations

To provide each client with a safe and reliable vehicle

What You Will Bring

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customer, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Valid Wisconsin Drivers' License

 
Position Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of three years, service advisor and/or service management experience.

A proven background filled with high CSI numbers, year over year growth, and team development

Full utilization of all technology and being able to incorporate technology into the service and parts processes

A valid driver’s license and good driving record

Must be 18 years or older
