The Business & Wealth Relationship Manager II represents Blue FCU by maintaining existing relationships, while building new, prospective relationships within the footprint of our communities. This position serves as a subject matter expert on all treasury, private wealth, business, and commercial related deposit and lending products. The position is responsible for account management, business development and serves in a leadership capacity acting as an advisor for members while creating awareness of credit union services. This position will also focus on the following:

  • Provides superior proactive in-person relationship management to Wealth, Business, Commercial, and Treasury Services clients, including annual relationship reviews to appropriate clients. Provides ongoing relationship servicing, training and sup port to customer inquiries, product enhancements, product recommendations and general account status.
  • Calls on and works with prospective clients on moving banking relationships, including recommending appropriate products and services, fee analysis and consultative instruction on security and efficiencies. Prepares RFPs and banking proposals. Extends credit provides deposit related services, offers financial and banking advice, and maintains awareness of credit union services, and ensures high quality, high performing portfolios.
  • Prepares appropriate documentation and agreements relative to Private Wealth, Business, Commercial and Treasury Service products and services in accordance with bank’s policies and procedures. Performs implementation tasks to onboard new clients and current client services.
  • Increase local awareness to support the Wealth Management strategies; establish and maintain effective and professional business relations with clients and trade professionals; maintain and project the credit union’s professional reputation. Create calling plans and keep credit union partners current on any client issues or needs.
  • Represent the Credit Union in the marketplace driving awareness, opportunity, and reputation.
  • Track calling and sales efforts as required.
  • Manage risk associated with products such as ACH, wires, remove deposit and other products considered high risk.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
 
Position Requirements

Experience: Five years to eight years’ experience in commercial lending, familiarity with financial lending regulations, with 3+ years’ experience consulting with high-net-worth clients with an established network of referral sources including attorneys, accountants, community, and business leaders. General understating of business succession planning, executive compensation, and retirement planning. Strong understanding and knowledge of bank depository products, including cash management.

Education/Certifications/Licenses: A college degree.


Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

 
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time  
Compensation $74,948.10 - $112,422.15  
Bondability Employment at Blue Federal Credit Union is contingent upon successful bondability.
