Position Material Coordinator - Contingent Upon Task Order Award  
Description

SUMMARY: Conduct and lead other warehouse personnel on receiving, stocking, kitting, issuing of parts, warehouse management, GFE inventory and storage, packing, and shipping of materials. Provide shipping by establishing an account with carriers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tracking and shipping numbers shall be provided to the CRC PMO through e-mail for each transaction.
  • Coordinates the transfer of raw materials, parts and finished products between various production areas and external warehouses.
  • Ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules.
  • Collects and analyzes data on current orders, production levels, and sales forecasts to estimate future demand for materials.
  • Establish accounts with FedEx, UPS, or DoD Transportation Protective Services approved carrier.
  • Ensures parts, materials, and supplies are properly packaged to foster an undamaged delivery.
  • Inspect all items received and for shipment to ensure proper labeling.
  • Ensure reusable shipping containers, packaging, and crating materials in which the GFP/E/M is handled with care and stored for reuse without changing the configuration.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must have a NAC-1 background check.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma with a minimum of seven years of experience in warehousing and distribution. and automated warehouse management system. Must have Forklift Operator Certification and the ability to operate a pallet jack. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications to support operations is a plus.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Management of resources.
  • Analyze data and/or information.
  • Forecast part usage rate.
  • Excellent team attitude.
  • Must be self-directed and have the ability to work independently without supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach. Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
