Description

In 2021, we are launching a new initiative to support our community by opening Boundless Health – a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing primary care services to the people we support and the larger community in and around Worthington, OH.

The first step in this endeavor is hiring a leader – Vice President of Clinical Operations and Executive Director of Boundless Health.

The Vice President of Clinical Operations fulfills a dual role in the Executive Team of I am Boundless, Inc. and as the Executive Director of Boundless Health, Inc. reporting to the Executive Vice President and Board of Directors. The primary responsibility of the role is to oversee, direct and be responsible for all Health Center operations. The Executive Director is empowered to facilitate all aspects of its clinical care and non-clinical care functions including oversight of the health center budget and mentoring a strong, results-oriented staff focused on achieving the organization’s goals and objectives.

Operational Management

  • Innovative in leading the development of the knowledge, infrastructure, culture, and competencies necessary to establish Boundless Health and its Health Center as a respected provider of medical, dental, wellness, behavioral health, and other appropriate services.
  • Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive staffing plan to ensure that Boundless Health can, in a cost-effective manner, nurture the development of required core competencies for the staff that is required to provide mission driven high-quality programs and support services.
  • Builds strong, new, strategic partnerships with the community, corporate, and government leaders to further the mission of Boundless Health.
  • Designs and implements new predictive and predictable models to integrate services that provide value and wrap-around services to the persons served.
  • Sources, secures, and converts to service models that are best practices for meeting the mission goals of service in the most financially feasible way.
  • In tandem with the VP of Advancement, partners in the development and execution of a new comprehensive fundraising strategy that will generate sustainable revenues to permit Boundless Health to execute its strategic vision.
  • Plans, directs, and evaluates the administrative and operational functions of healthcare clinics, behavioral health services, social services, and other services.
  • Responsible for oversight and management of the Health Center’s administrative support functions for finance, human resources, facilities and IT.
  • Provides an atmosphere of person-centered care among an inspired team of dedicated associates.
  • Aligns clinical and other services to provide quantitative and qualitative value to the primary service areas within by incorporating recognized outcome measures (i.e., HRSA, HEDIS).
  • Provides or delegates the supervision of clinical, front desk, billing, and quality improvement management staff or contracted services for those areas.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Addresses the requirements of HRSA, Medicaid, Medicare, etc., as applicable to management positions.
  • Timely completes and maintains all internal and external required unit and/or organizational reports and/or documentation according to Aspire standards, policies and procedures, and as required by external agencies (PTO requests, expense sheets, training requests, TB documentation, car insurance, etc.).
 
Position Requirements

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of budgeting with financial experience and acumen including a thorough understanding of financial statements.
  • Strong managed care knowledge.
  • Ability to work as a hands-on leader, with a direct approach to problem-solving, coupled with the ability to listen to and involve members of the senior management team.
  • Innovative, strong strategic planning skills. Assess current and future needs of the organization and creating a plan to promote long term growth.
  • Ability to drive change in the organization and motivate staff.
  • Ability to inspire and build trust and confidence with Board members, donors, clients, and staff.
  • Ability to build a cohesive team by listening, engaging board and staff members, local state, and national stakeholders.
  • An established reputation for high ethical standards.
  • Ability to tactfully speak, mentor, train, and discipline staff appropriately when necessary.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, religious, ethnic, and professional backgrounds.
  • Ability to run and interpret clinical, financial, and administrative reports from various sources (EMR, budgeting, etc.), and enhance programs and measures.
  • Adjust clinical goals of the organization by analyzing internal data and national benchmarking.
  • Requires the understanding of what reports such as the UDS report, HEDIS measures, PCMH, and Meaningful Use reports entail, what data is needed, and participation in committees to report on the data from the EMR system.

Education/Experience

  • Master’s degree, in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Science or related fields from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education and a minimum of five (5) years of practice management experience in a clinical or primary care setting.
  • Seven years of experience in a leadership capacity at a health and human service organization.
  • Three to five years of experience working in a public institution or FQHC healthcare clinic environment with a demonstrated experience of health care policy, revenue management and reporting.
  • Knowledge and experience in best practices of non-profit management and leadership with a proven track record of accomplishment.
