Description

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) leads, drives, and delivers large highly cross-functional technology programs. The role partners with Engineering/Development, Technical Operations, Product Management, and business stakeholders developing project plans, roadmaps, and executing software solutions. The TPM manages every aspect of the project from product to solution delivery while communicating progress at every level of the organization.

  • Manages the cross-functional software projects from product/technology roadmap to product and solution delivery, covering a range of areas including software development and testing, operations, change management, human resources, hardware capacity requirements, co-innovation with internal and external partners, vendors, and solution/product delivery
  • Identifies projects within the program, prioritizes, defines scope, and defines deliverables that support business goals and strategic objectives
  • Defines, develops detailed projects, and drives the project schedule ensuring on-time delivery for the entire program
  • Understands, identifies, and manages both technical and non-technical project dependencies and critical paths within the project
  • Manages changes in project and program scope, identifies, communicates, and resolves potential risks/conflicts, and creates mitigation plans
  • Develops and delivers project updates, proposals, and presentations to executives and key project stakeholders
  • Creates project plans and timelines and communicates overall project status to the broader teams
  • Executes best practices and governance; defines new or improves existing processes and tools for project execution
  • Ensures that each team understands the overall project objectives and timeline, and how their deliverables impact the overall program
  • Manages cross functional teams to deliver critical business needs
  • Establishes and implements processes which foster team collaboration at the organizational level
  • Interacts with management and stakeholders often requiring excellent communication skills
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional peers and senior leaders/stakeholders to drive resolution of project issues
  • Understands interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
  • Participates in and contributes to the continuous improvement and evolution of processes, methodologies, and tools

 

 
Position Requirements

Required Education & Experience

  • 5-8+ years of experience as project/program manager driving software development projects/programs, including full software development lifecycle from product requirements through implementation to product release and post release support.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Working knowledge and fluency with both JIRA, Confluence, Project Management tools are required
  • Knowledge of Azure Firewall, DDoS protection, Network Security Group (NSG)
  • Broad technical knowledge of internet products and technologies, and latest cloud offerings
  • Technical background in enterprise applications, software, and services
  • Experience in compliance remediation
  • Understanding of foundational cloud concepts such as High Availability (HA), Scalability, Fault Tolerance (FT), Disaster Recovery, scalability, and the difference between CapEx and OpEx
  • Solid knowledge of Azure Infrastructure - Regions, Availability Zones, Resource Groups, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure architectural components
  • Understanding of Azure purchasing procedures, services/products, and pricing

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Experience using JIRA Portfolio
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • PMP Certification (PMI)
  • Certification in Microsoft 365 Fundamentals MS-900
  • Microsoft 365 Security Administrator Associate
  • Working knowledge and experience with agile methodology
