Position Summary:

The Human Resources team is looking for an experienced HR Generalist who thrives in a teamwork focused environment that will help us continue to grow and build many upcoming programs to ensure a meaningful team member experience. Each day will be different as we shape our HR infrastructure to a scalable path for our intelligent business growth.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a broad range of HR and operational services that supports all disciplines of HR. This position will place a special focus on key administration for the team member life cycle, including hiring, on-boarding, off-boarding, employment, learning management administration, benefits administration, and employee relations support. The Generalist will also support management and leadership team with all general Human Resources issues and needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with recruitment and hiring process and executes the talent acquisition strategy.
  • Oversees all aspects of the hiring process, including staffing requisitions, job posts, screening, interviews, job offers.
  • Manages the onboarding program.
  • Provides an overview of benefits and manages the enrollment process for all new hires.
  • Assists with administration of Talent Management inititives.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management. Ensures fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates team member surveys and assists with compiling data to drive strategy.
  • Maintains organizational structure in the HCMS, processing organizational changes when needed.
  • Support with ad hoc team projects as needed.
  • Maintains accurate and updated team member files.
  • Good working knowledge of Desktop OS and the Ascentis HR System, including reporting functions.
  • Documents and regularly updates standard operating procedures related to day-to-day HR administration.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings, attends seminars and training sessions.
  • Provide direct team member and guest experience and quality support for all HR needs.
Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent education preferred.
  • Three+ years Human Resources experience. Working knowledge of HR disciplines.
  • Experience with a Forbes rated hotel property and/or independent hotel preferred; hospitality experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high-quality HR services in an ever-changing environment.
  • Knowledgeable and current understanding of HR laws/guidelines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills needed, as well as interpersonal savvy.
  • Highly resourceful and organized with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Must be agile, flexible and be open to new ideas.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with HR information systems.
  • Ability to prepare, organize, and report data generated by computer.
  • Genuinely interested in the Human Resources function and professional growth.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
