Our dynamic property, located on the Eastside, includes a 250,000-square-foot fitness facility, three restaurants, a full-service spa and 66-room boutique hotel. The Bellevue Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead staff in providing exceptional service to our members and guests in the position of Market Café Manager. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Plans, directs, and oversees all functions of the Market Café Effectively schedules, trains, and provides support for staff to operate the Market Café productively Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels and communicates with HR staffing needs. Interviews applicants, conducts reference checks, and makes hiring decisions. Communicates with members directly and through the service staff to ensure member satisfaction. Develops strong business relationships with members to generate repeat business. Develops and maintains policies and procedures for the Market Café to ensure consistent, high quality service standards that satisfy members and increase revenues. Monitors inventories and reorders supplies with assistance from the Purchasing agent. Operates computerized point of sale system and troubleshoots system errors. Prepares annual budget and business plan for Market Café in conjunction with the Controller and Club Manager and monitors progress throughout the year. Reviews and approves all department staff timecards before processing through accounting. Approves overtime when appropriate. Attends staff meetings and training seminars. Conducts department meetings as appropriate to keep staff informed of all current issues and information. Supervises, trains, and evaluates department staff. Counsels substandard performers and terminates the employment relationship if necessary, with the assistance of the Human Resources Manager and Club Manager.
