Description

Job Title: Blown Film Operator

Position summary: Oversee production of the Blown Film department.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Follow production flow of respective shift.
  • Ability to Adjust machines as necessary or willing/able to learn.
  • Assist with changeovers as necessary.
  • Communicate quality issues to all necessary personnel.
  • Complete all necessary production paperwork.
  • Ability to read all measuring instruments (micrometer and tape measure) or willing/able to learn.
  • Complete all quality checks as necessary.
  • Work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Follow all quality and food safety policies and procedures to ensure products meet all applicable customer, regulatory and industry standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Corrective Action team member
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant supervisor or quality personnel.
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Shift: 7A-7P & 7P-7A

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • 4+ Years of Blown Film Extrusion experience.
  • Knowledge of running LDPE/LLDPE Resins with IBC.
  • Co-ex experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to be a valuable team member
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection.  Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.
