Load Coordinator, Shuttle  

Description

PURPOSE.

The primary function of the Shuttle Load Coordinator is to identify and secure shuttle network needs, optimize scheduled departs and protecting customer expectations. The Shuttle Load Coordinator will work in conjunction with the Shuttle Supervisor and Sales/Customer Service to communicate and fill freight gaps and secure new lanes when needed. The Shuttle Coordinator will also work with Operations Planners to resolve network and capacity imbalances.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.

  • Ensure customer requirements are met while meeting shuttle objectives and communicate potential conflicts timely.
  • Responsible for optimizing the engineered shuttle lanes.
  • Secure and meet on-time service and shuttle utilization goals.
  • Meet load count goals by securing freight that will meet shuttle KPI's.
  • Minimize or eliminate empty return legs.
  • Maximizing Revenue Per Truck Per Day.
  • Monitor trailer pool compliance with customers that fill the shuttle.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year in fleet operations or relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations

  • Ability to manage multiple and diverse customer relationships

Working conditions

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required to:

  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently operate a computer for extended periods of time and regularly operate other office productivity machines.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs and move up to 20 pounds of office objects.
  • Frequently communicate with peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions.
  • Occasionally attend meetings in buildings outside corporate office and at off-site locations with various internal conditions, and requiring travel in various external conditions.
  • Travel domestically as necessary.
