Summary

A Senior Consultant Provider Specialist will be responsible for leading Wakely’s client relationships by designing and monitor plans to achieve strategic goals with a focus on our payor provider business line.  In addition, the position will manage an Actuary project team to ensure quality and timely deliverables.

What you will do:

  • Lead provider initiatives by through shared savings and risk support (strategic and financial)
  • Conduct provider contract analysis
  • Lead alternative payment model evaluation and implementation
  • Evaluation of CMMI models
  • Manage provider-sponsored health plans
  • Identify population health analysis to identify high risk members for intervention and transition of risk
  • Risk stratification of population by risk scores, chronic conditions medical expenses, etc.
  • Support healthcare providers with transition from fee for service to value based payment
  • Benchmark, target development, reconciliation,and financial reporting for risk-bearing providers
  • MACRA analysis
  • External promotion including webinars, conferences, and white papers
 
Position Requirements

Required Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience working with payors and providers
  • Proficiency with Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
  • SQL and SAS database skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or similar field
  • Credentialed ASA
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop junior staff

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 5 - 7 years of extensive interaction with ACO’s (including those participating in MSSP, Next Gen, or other CMS/CMMI programs), prospective DCEs, health systems, IPAs, CINs, multi-specialty groups, etc.
  • Credentialed FSA
  • Business and organizational development skills
  • Client management experience

 

Relocation may be available for the right candidate.
