Senior Director of RSI and Crisis Services 

Description

Wyandot BHN is seeking a Senior Director of RSI and Crisis Services to direct crisis stabilization services (sobering, crisis observation, and crisis stabilization unit) and crisis services (walk-in and mobile crisis response); ensures efficient and appropriate delivery of resources and services; serves as a member of the Wyandot Center/RSI Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the decision making processes; directs and leads management personnel and staff, optimizing performance; represents the agency in a variety of venues, promoting mental health and/or serving as a subject matter expert; and ensures compliance with standards, protocols, and regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Directs the operations of RSI/Wyandot Continuum of Crisis Services; oversees service units and programs including planning, program development, and day-to-day operations.
  • Directs, develops, and coordinates crisis stabilization services for RSI and the Crisis Clinic as part of Wyandot Center’s continuum of crisis services.
  • Serves as a key player for internal/and external functions to further promote and/or execute RSI’s and Crisis programs for the good of the organization.
  • Directs and leads personnel; guiding Managers and/or unit leaders toward optimal performance, participating/overseeing managerial processes. 
  • Establishes job functions and performance criteria for adult clinical staff to ensure highest quality of consumer treatment and efficient use of resources.
  • Oversees the maintenance of personnel recordkeeping [vacation, holiday, sick time, etc.] monitoring activities, recording absences, directing the updating of files, etc.
  • Participates in establishing policies and procedures in response to regulatory and/or system changes (identifying unique requirements, assessing and determining impact on services, collaborating with the ED and clinical leadership, developing action plans, and producing and disseminating information.)
  • Develops and facilitates presentations in response to training needs, serving as a speaker in internal/external arenas, and/or promoting a new concept or program.
  • Ensures RSI and Crisis Services are in full compliance (scrutinizing applicable policies, local, state, and federal laws and their requirements [legal, professional], making sure staff meet agency, state, and licensing training requirements, monitoring and confirming that State and Medicaid standards are met, and assuring adherence by staff through positive and professional communications, training, and coaching).
 
Position Requirements
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other mental health related field, or be a Registered Nurse.
  • Must be licensed as a qualified mental health professional in the state of Kansas. Preference will be given to candidates who have or are seeking advanced clinical licensure.
  • Five years of management experience in a mental health environment.
  • Must have at least three years of experience with direct service as a clinician, case manager, or other mental health professional, preferably in the crisis field.
  • Exceptional communication (oral, written, & presentation) skills, including the ability to write and speak concisely, succinctly, and accurately in a style appropriate to the audience.
  • Excellent relationship building skills to effectively cultivate relationships and partnerships throughout the organization and with community leaders.
  • Willingness to embrace, lead, and bring about change throughout the organization and programs to attain strategic initiatives and propel the programs forward, while meeting constituent needs and expectations.
  • Outstanding clinical acumen to include excellent clinical judgment, familiarity with treatment technologies, protocols, community-based strategies, and principles of outcome based service delivery systems, knowledge and familiarity with managed care technologies, and the ability to embrace and promote trauma informed care principles and person center values.
  • Must have working knowledge of roles of various regulatory agencies affecting the functioning of a community based service organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with the highest level of confidentiality and business ethics in relation to organization and consumer information and access.
  • Strong aptitude for business operations including the ability to analyze data, and recommend strategies that reflect an adherence to standards, outcomes, and efficiency to resource applications, and budgeting. Excellent organization skills and the ability to plan and execute complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment. Ability to work as a business partner with all departments/functions and use program and organization goals, philosophy, mission, vision and values as operating drivers in all recommendations and decisions.
  • Working knowledge of grant application and renewal processes.
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills essential.

Hours Standard office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  
Pay Range $80-95
