The role will perform administrative and technical duties to assist and supervise the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and development of Local Area Network (LAN), and/or PC systems, e-mail, and peripherals for THIE and its subsidiaries and affiliates. The individual in this role will install, configure and maintain PC software applications and various servers within the THIE environment. Provide technical/audio/visual support for THIE offsite and virtual meetings including board meetings and Hot Topics. This role will assist THIE management/accounting department with annual budget for IT spend and will assist with technology project management as well as website and portal administration.

Work is performed under general direction of the Director, Information Systems.

Position Requirements


  • Requires understanding of a specialized area of knowledge.
  • Knowledge required is normally equivalent to attainment of bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, and 5 years’ experience with personal computers.
  • Job requires this position to have expert computer skills in Microsoft applications supported by the Association.
  • Must have specialized training in related software and hardware with MS certification preferred.
  • Individual must have broad knowledge of software and total systems integration. SQL and Oracle database experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of PC hardware and software packages, installing/troubleshooting PC and telephone equipment is required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.

  • Individual must show a willingness to acquire other technical education, keeping abreast of technical changes/updates.
  • Individual must have highly developed problem-solving abilities; must have the ability to effectively communicate with users; and must be flexible and willing to support the organization in an ever-changing technical environment.
  • Individual must be customer oriented, patient, creative, and an energetic self-starter to fulfill the standards and requirements of the position.
  • Experience managing a department budget a plus.
