Summary of Essential Job Functions
Manages full and part-time staff including scheduling, assignments, monitoring performance and training.
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, health and safety, quality control (Shell DPQA), and personnel policies and procedures.
Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements (IMO, CFR49, IATA); enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system, processing dead stock reports.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing design layouts/improvements; cleanliness; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Maintains professional working communication between Sales, Logistics, Maintenance, Management, HR, and Carriers.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Maintains CDL Driver compliance, according to state and federal regulations and complies with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), including the company’s drug and alcohol testing program.
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform any other duties that the job may require.
Lead and participate in safety meetings and report all injuries, spills and property damage. Identifies and communicates job hazards.
