Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED. Minimum 5 years related general construction experience required. It is preferred that candidate have experience with installation of Forced Entry Ballistic Resistant Doors and Windows and is familiar with US Embassy/OBO standards for construction. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team. Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision. Work with plans, specs or instructions from supervisors and have good command of English language. Knowledge and experience with other general construction skills such as carpenter, plumber, mason, or other building construction trades is desired and considered a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have an OSHA 10-hr or EM-385 safety training certificate. Security Clearance: Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation to obtain SECRET Clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must also be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This is a physically demanding job. These doors weigh up to 500lbs. The employee is required to be able to work with a crew to lift and install these doors. Travel: International Travel Required. Work Environment: Work is regularly performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, including snow, rain, sleet, extreme winds, or ice storms. May be exposed to extreme temperatures, hot and cold, as part of environmental factors. Work may be performed near moving mechanical parts and/or vibration. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles or electrical shock hazards.
