Circle of Confusion is looking for driven, organized interns who are seeking careers in the entertainment business to intern virtually two or three days a week for the Summer semester. Interns will be introduced to industry practices in developing, producing and casting film, television and theater. More specifically, interns will read scripts, write coverage and character breakdowns, conduct research, work on special projects such as tracking projects, potential clients, and generating social media content. Interns will have the opportunity to communicate directly with managers, producers and assistants through our array of virtual events and panels. Additionally, all interns will participate in a pitch project which includes sourcing a piece of IP or using an original idea to develop and pitch to the Circle team. Past pitches have included film, television series, documentary series and podcasts. Whether you become a writer, director, producer, creative executive, agent, manager, or publicist, you will need to be able to pitch your ideas and communicate quickly and effectively. This creative project will help you develop your skills to both pitch yourself and your ideas as you move forward in your career. In completing the internship, interns will get a thorough overview of the business side of entertainment, develop early-career skills and deepen their knowledge of the entertainment industry.   Position Requirements Applicants should be highly driven, self-motivated individuals looking to immerse themselves in a management and production environment. Qualifications: Must be eligible to receive credit. Must be able to intern (virtually) 2 - 3 full days (9am - 6pm in your time zone). Attendance at a mandatory orientation at the beginning of the semester. Must be available to intern through the end of the term, currently August 27.
