Description

Astronics CCC is a world leader in designing and integrating custom digital IFE/CMS systems. Our product line covers every facet of in-flight entertainment and cabin management control including: entertainment, lighting, call, temperature, audio/video on demand, tablet integration, real-time 3-D moving map, and much more. We also offer customized graphical user interfaces accessible on our touchscreens, allowing seamless and intuitive control of the IFE/CMS system

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with management, departments and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements.
  • Developing, testing and deploying programs and applications.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software.
  • Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance.
  • Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products.
  • Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects.
  • Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software.
  • Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance.
  • Revisit the development process to fix bugs or address client or consumer concerns.
 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more C#, C++ or Java.
  • Networking protocols HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, L2, L3, switching and routing.
  • Network application development experience.
  • Real time embedded systems/software development experience.
  • Android platform development experience.
  • Android and iOS application development experience.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced multi-disciplined environment with quickly changing priorities and requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management or clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • This position will be required to be performed onsite in our Kent, WA office.

 

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience designing and building software applications.
  • Proficiency with multiple languages, Java, C++, python.
  • Experience working on complex network-based software projects.
  • Knowledge of C++/object oriented programs, SQL, web application development, security and open source technologies.
  • Experience with AVB/RTP protocols.
  • Experience with XMOS development.

  • Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
