Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing all areas of computer related technical support including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of personal computers, peripherals, network appliance, applications software and telecommunication equipment and services. Incumbents may manage technical projects and provide training on basic computer usage, applications software and telephone system for staff. Researches technology related solutions to meet business needs. Works with other departments to maximize efficient use of technology across the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Install and configure computer systems, applications, telecommunication system, and other peripherals.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges.
  • Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions.
  • Organize and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware.
  • Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
  • Actively update, maintain and monitor certain aspects of computer network systems and appliances.
  • Manage assign technology projects including researching solutions, working with other departments and external vendors to meet project goals and taking ownership of post-implementation challenges.

 

RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to the IT Director. The incumbent will interact with all levels of employees within the organization. Critical relationships will include the IT Director, IT Network Administrator, IT Technician, Cross Functional Teams, vendors, and volunteers.

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vocational degree in networking and hardware support or at least three years of work experience troubleshooting systems and peripherals in a PC/Windows domain environment.
  • Excellent understanding of Windows 10 Professional operating system.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of basic TCP/IP principles in a LAN/WAN environment.
  • Prior experience with group policy and maintaining aspects of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Online, Office 365, SaaS Cloud Solutions, SQL, and shared file servers.
  • Must be well organized and self-motivated.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a multicultural environment through timely response and thorough attention to problem identification and resolution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team to meet organizational needs.
  • Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff in non-technical terms.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands, finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to see colors.
  • Frequently travel between sites.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $47, 000 - $58, 800 per annual (depending on qualifications)
