IT Technician

This position is responsible for assisting staff with support issues by phone, email and other support systems. This position will be responsible for the setup and troubleshooting of company computers and software as well as performing technical and system diagnostics as required. This position will support other related business aspects of the IT Department by assisting with setup and troubleshooting of company phones, printers, copiers and other office equipment as needed.

  • Meet all general qualifications for employment
  • Meet company and state standards for driving record check
  • Meet company standards for criminal history check
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an IT Technician or similar position
  • Possess a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and productivity software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with department team members and other Dean staff effectively
  • Demonstrate firm knowledge of impeccable customer support and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrate an excellent attendance record


Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to Dean staff and seek resolution as necessary
  • Set up new computer systems and perform routine maintenance
  • Ensure that internet security software is updated and running properly
  • Maintain computer equipment and software to ensure secure and efficient operations
  • Repair computer hardware as required
