POSITION TITLE: Organizational Development & Human Resources Assistant

TEAM: Organizational Development & Human Resources

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the direction of and reporting to the Senior Human Resources Generalist, the Organizational Development & Human Resources Assistant is responsible for customer service, implementation and maintenance connected to a variety of processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Process and maintain various documentation related to Employee Relations, Recruitment, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, and Employee Training and Development, Law and Diversity programs.
  2. Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and run reports from the database as needed.
  3. Administer Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey, Recruitment, New Employee Orientation & Onboarding Programs, Employee Recognition Programs, and Mentoring Programs.
  4. Participate in interview process.
  5. Coordinate and communicate health and benefit information including, open enrollment, eligibility, orientations, and other general information for employees and their families.
  6. Assists with compensation process to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity, while adhering to the company’s over-arching compensation philosophy.
  7. Administer Succession Planning Program, Career Path Program, and Employee Training and Development Programs.
  8. Provide guidance to employees and managers for various Human Resources programs, policies and procedures.
  9. Participate in the development of department goals, metrics, objectives, and systems.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

General knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices and laws preferred.

Strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing and inviting personality.

Excellent written/verbal communication skills required.

Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Excel).

Ability to demonstrate a professional business manner and helpful attitude.

Strong ability to perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as answering phones, maintaining information files and processing paperwork.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Associates degree in Human Resources desired, but not necessary.

2-3 years of Human Resources Assistant level work experience required.

2-3 years of Payroll and Recruitment experience required.
