Share Email Opening Title Director of Finance  Position Director of Finance   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location US - Headquarters Based in Austin Texas   Description Job Purpose: The Director of Finance will serve as a key member of the L7 Informatics team, playing a hands-on role in the company's finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate for this position will be a skilled and strategic professional that is interested in applying their skills in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial software company. The candidate will need to be able to lead initiatives, ensure the company's financial and accounting functions are efficient and effective, and represent the company with partners including auditors, investors, clients, vendors, and other key stakeholders. Responsibilities: Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends to assist leadership and Board of Directors in decision-making and goal execution. Provide strategic financial input on decision making issues affecting the company and to ensure best practices are utilized and that resources are leveraged and deployed in the most effective way to accomplish goals of the organization. Work with the VP of Operations to develop, enhance, implement, oversee, and enforce financial policies and procedures of the organization. Work with the VP of Operations to ensure that financial operations comply with local, state, and federal laws, and generally accepted accounting principles; that taxes are filed accurately and on a timely basis; and that transactions are timely and accurate. Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to leadership team and staff members. Lead and oversee department budget development and monitoring of budget performance. Develop reliable cash flow projection processes and reporting mechanisms. Work collaboratively with the VP of Operations to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of payroll processes and reports. Support financial and operational audits, identify opportunities for improved efficiencies, and supervise implementation of improvements to internal controls and operating procedures. Develop a team-based environment to work collaboratively toward the L7's vision and strategic goals, meet and exceed established performance goals - all with an eye toward improving client outcomes.   Position Requirements Education and Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required. Masters degree in accounting, finance, or related field strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance position is required. Working experience in software or services business is a plus. Excellent skills in financial and business analysis, interpretation of data and application of data analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. Ability to clearly present complicated financial information, reports and advice Must be able to initiate ideas, plans, and strategies, to motivate others to action, and to organize and carry out multi-faceted workload. Sense of drive and urgency with excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to carry out a variety of responsibilities with multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to provide leadership to others and work calmly and efficiently in stressful situations. Strong relationship builder with the ability to find common ground, build consensus, and strengthen collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
