We are looking for a qualified Human Resources Representative with a focus on a full-cycle recruiting experience including on-boarding. Hours are typically 8-5, M-F. This position supports the clinical practice, a non-profit company affiliated with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, comprised of 8 clinics. We have competitive pay and benefits.

Job Summary

The HR Recruiter/Benefits Support Specialist performs a broad spectrum of duties providing professional support in recruitment, benefits, orientation and file maintenance. Responsibilities are varied and complex requiring a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, independent judgment, and initiative. As the recruiter, this position will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent.

This position will provide routine advice, assistance, and follow-up to departments, employees, and/or members of the general public in the application of specified policies, procedures, and documentation. The incumbent participates in the new hire and open enrollment benefit process. Performs other duties as required.

Position Requirements

Education, Licenses, Certifications and Experience:

  • Position requires graduation from high school or the GED equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or Human Resources or other similar PHR preferred.
  • Minimum two years experience in human resources including recruiting and benefits required.. Healthcare background a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation/insurance – occasional travel in city


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to develop creative recruitment strategies to staff hard-to-fill positions.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential matters, following confidentiality and HIPAA policies
  • Ability to interpret and read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week as necessary in order to complete work.
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations concerning employment, i.e., EEOC, ADA, FMLA, ERISA.
  • Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and company policies.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong working knowledge in HR functions (recruitment, benefits, file maintenance)
  • Working knowledge of a Human Resource Information System, preferably Ascentis, ADP/HRB.
  • High skill proficiency in Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical skills required.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
