Clinical Manager-OPD 

Description

Current Program Managers fully licensed, who are looking to exercise and further enhance their clinical supervision skills and provide more clinical programmatic oversight in the outpatient services programs.

AND

Fully licensed Clinical Staff with some supervisory experience, who are looking to advance in their career, while developing/strengthening their clinical supervision skills and providing clinical programmatic oversight in outpatient services programs.

Summary of Position

Responsible for providing leadership to assigned staff; including the provision of customer service response, clinical triage, work-flow design, timely completion of task assignments, teamwork, monitor/address scheduling concerns, etc.  Monitors, oversees, and supervises the team-based process.   

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • Provides direct supervision to assigned staff in order to enhance their clinical skill set, leadership qualities, and administrative functions.  
  • Provides on-going support to staff to assure completion of job responsibilities. 
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency’s policies, applicable laws, and governmental regulatory agencies. 
  • Reviews staff responsibilities to determine time frame and scope of authority, reviews staffing requirements, and allotments of available resources. 
  • Evaluates staff productivity and documentation of service delivery.  
  • Confers with staff to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.  
  • Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  
  • Assures new staff, students, and volunteers receive departmental orientation.  
  • Provides reports as requested for monitoring, assessment, and improvement.  
  • Participates in quality assurance activities and cross-functional action teams.   
  • Demonstrates the ability to oversee and perform coordination of internal and external services to meet client needs  
  • Demonstrates the ability to participate as a member of the Clinical Services management team, assures program and staff comply with all Agency policies and procedures and participates in Agency projects as assigned  
  • Demonstrates the ability to oversee the program’s day to day operations (i.e. hiring and evaluating of staff, scheduling of adequate coverage, oversees customer service response, clinical documentation, triage procedures, work flow design and task assignments)  
  • Demonstrates the ability to ensure that newly hired staff receives departmental orientation  
  • Demonstrates the ability to process/document unusual occurrences and work-related incidents within 24 hours.  
  • Works with assigned staff to ensure that all services are documented based on billing and regulatory standards; collects information on consumers’ insurance and reflects all demographic data in the record. 
  • Facilitates team and clinical supervision group meetings, as assigned.  

 

 
Position Requirements

Education/License 

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field as required by program regulations & standards. 
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated professional experience providing clinical services with the identified population and their families including experience in responding to crisis  
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be insurable by agency’s automobile insurance. 
  • Must possess a current professional license (LCSW/LPC/LMFT/ LCADC) as required by program regulations & standards.
