Soaren Management is adding a Senior Software Development Engineer to our team. We are a Fintech start-up that is stable, profitable, and rapidly growing. This is a Senior role. You should be confident in your skills and have ambition to move up the ranks, which there is definitely opportunity for. You will not be micro-managed. You will be expected to take ideas and general designs and turn them into high quality, maintainable solutions.
In this role, you would:
- Work collaboratively and effectively communicate with other members of the development and product teams to understand user and business requirements
- Work individually and with your team to design, build, test and deliver technology to meet those requirements
- Be part of a team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment, based on the Product team’s roadmap and direction
- Be responsible for the full stack including front-end and back-end web development
- Use your experience with service-oriented architectures, front end frameworks, API integrations, and component based development
- Be methodical and focus on solving the particular problem, without going down every rabbit hole that reveals itself along the way
- Be a team player, willing to be held accountable as well as to hold others accountable in a constructive way
We are targeting someone who has extensive experience with the web, seeks challenges, loves solving problems, and strives for excellence, while balancing the realities of business and timelines. Our team uses a lot of PHP/Laravel and Vue.js/Vuex or React/Redux. We heavily leverage Twilio Flex. You don’t need to know Twilio Flex but should be able to quickly learn it and understand common integration techniques.
Responsibilities include:
- Write clean and functional code across the stack
- Develop, plan, and design scalable software using PHP and related tech
- Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and data structures
- Have the ability communicate clearly and attend team meetings
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Manage data integrations with third party data services
- Ability and desire to mentor more junior developers
- Desire to improve and open to learning new ways of doing things
- Have a wide breadth of technical knowledge across domains, languages, frameworks, and industries
- Build and maintain reusable code and libraries
- Implement security and data protection protocols
- Ability to work in a 24/7 uptime codebase environment
- Ability to work with your product team to proactively identify problems and make technical suggestion on requirements

- Laravel / PHP7
- Vue.js / React / Javascript / ES5/6
- MySql
- CSS, HTML, Sass/Scss
- Webpack, Npm
- REST and RPC API’s (both creating and consuming)
- Software Integration
- JIRA or similar
