Description

Responsibilities Include:

  • Organizes and implements a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information.
  • Duties involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third party warehousing.
  • Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Serves as liaison between sales and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge; provides data analysis for production planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts.
  • Assists in developing logistics plans and procedures.
  • Ensures legal compliance and provides import/export administration and control within government rules and regulations, including appropriate licensing for shipments.
  • Reviews contracts for required clauses and identifies omissions.
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipment.
  • Selects carrier/forwarder for shipment of products and prepares documents for freight forwarders.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance measures and operational reports
  • Preparation of commercial invoices and other shipping documents; coordinating paperwork/documentation for tariffs and customs regulations compliance.
  • Calculating duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of goods exported and imported
  • Be the liaison between agents, brokers, shippers, and warehouse facilities.
  • Resolve customs delays; processing manufacturing affidavits, providing importers declarations, Census responses, etc.
  • Following up on AES filings with freight forwarders and making applicable corrections as necessary.
  • Maintaining the international shipping logs and files.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; with minimum 5 years direct related work experience in positions responsible for ITAR, EAR export licensing and compliance and foreign trade regulations; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Background in export/import regulations (ITAR, EAR, FTR), Compliance programs, Export jurisdiction and classifications, export licensing and license exemptions/exceptions, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), Commodity Jurisdiction Classification, Technology Control Plans, and international shipping documentation requirements.
