Crisis Response Worker - Children Mobile Crisis

Summary of Position

  • Provides immediate therapeutic mobile crisis services to children and youth in the community on a 24/7 hour basis.
  • Stabilizes and minimizes the movement of children from one living arrangement to another.
  • Responds to the individual needs of families and children.
  • Prevents inappropriate psychiatric hospitalization or re-hospitalization.
  • Manages appropriate levels of risk and crisis in the home and community.
  • Spends 65% of time face-to-face with consumers, in their homes and the community.
  • Assures departmental goals and/or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame by performing the job responsibilities personally.
  • Assess children and/or adolescents and families at intake/admissions, during ongoing treatment/service delivery and at discharge; collaborates with treatment providers to establish comprehensive assessments and service plans
  • Monitors medications intake by assessing symptoms, side effects and medication compliance; assures consumer follows through with prescribed medication; recommends changes in medication as appropriate
  • Formulates psychological service plans containing relevant goals, behaviorally measurable objectives (that serve as indicators for evaluating progress) and realistic time frames for achievement; performs quarterly reviews of progress and evaluates effectiveness of goals/objectives
  • Works with administrative staff to ensure that all services are documented based on billing and regulatory standards; collects information on consumers' insurance and reflects all demographic data

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in a Human Services Field (Psychology, Sociology, Social Worker)
  • 1 year experience working with children/adolescents and their families in crisis is a must
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred
  • Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the Agency's automobile insurance policy
