Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is primarily responsible for handling inbound telephone inquiries from Representatives, sales assistants and other financial institution staff, as well as, on-line and full service clients. The CSR will respond to various client service related topics including but not limited to, account maintenance, balance information, account activity, processing financial transactions and providing appropriate education of client facing technology. The CSR is also responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients by researching individual account related issues in a timely manner and following up as necessary.

Position duties include but not limited to:

  • Answer a wide variety of questions (from reps, sales assistants, clients, etc.) regarding brokerage account activity, balances, holdings, documents, etc.
  • Assist on-line self-directed clients with navigation, trading, account information, reset passwords, etc.
  • Set up user IDs for new online accounts. Send welcome letters to new clients.
  • Review and respond to incoming email including general services emails for CFS & SPF and emails sent directly to CSR.
  • Research and take ownership of operational inquires through to their resolution.
  • Process various operational requests.
  • Communicate internal and industry policies and procedures.
  • Review, print or download various periodic and ad hoc reports (i.e., Pershing, dataVISION, etc) as assigned by manager.
  • Assist manager and other team members with special requests and/or projects as needed.
  • Supports Company Mission Statement and Corporate Values.
  • Other projects and duties may be assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Skill and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related financial services experience (preferably with a Broker/Dealer)
  • General knowledge regarding equities, options, mutual funds, fixed income products is a must. General knowledge of dividends, stock splits and stock mergers is helpful.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and quick problem solving and prioritizing is essential.
  • Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).  Experience with Net X preferred.
  • FINRA series 7, 63/65 licenses preferred but not required
