Share Email Opening Title Refuse Collector  Description Position reports to Solid Waste Foreman and is responsible for collecting and loading refuse into collection vehicles. Collects and loads refuse into collection vehicles. Assists in disposal operation at landfill. Assists with hook up of containers. Rakes garbage from containers to truck. Assists driver in close turning operations. Cleans and services collection vehicles.   Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be willing to work under adverse weather conditions.   Physical/Environmental Requirements The environmental working conditions of this position include constantly working outside in high and low temperatures and around hazardous machinery. Also, position involves frequently working around loud and low noise and vibrations.
