Summary
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties

Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods
Assists with analysis and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow
Designs layout of equipment, machines, and workspace for maximum efficiency
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods
Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions and financial reporting.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential
This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation

Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree
1-3 years equivalent experience
Knowledge of mechanical systems, painting, lasers, machining, electronics, and electromechanical systems
Familiar with Intuitive Program
Photometric equipment, chemicals and chemical processing
Computer skills in Microsoft office
Skills
Language Skills
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
Mathematical Skills
Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands *
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
