Quality Engineer (Advanced) 

Description
  • Complete all APQP & PPAP deliverables for new product launches on time
  • Assist in developing the DFMEA and PFMEA
  • Develop and enforce the prototype, pre-production and production process control plans
  • Develop and execute manufacturing quality systems during prototype part builds and transfer requirements & checks to Inteva operations sites
  • Assist with GD&T development & tolerance negotiation; develop tuning/improvement plans to achieve 100% compliance to requirements
  • Develop the gaging strategy required to meet GD&T requirements and assist gage engineers in the procurement of the gages per customer standards/requirements
  • Create and validate gage OWI
  • Develop the measurement system analysis plan for all areas of the new product launch
  • Ensure gage studies (Gage R&R, Bias & Linearity) are conducted on all gaging used on the program and that appropriate corrective actions are taken to improve Gage R&R where data indicates
  • Travel required to support new product launches and programs at Inteva facilities worldwide
 
Position Requirements

REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of or experience in light assembly and plastic injection molding, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Must demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, ability to work well in several teams at once, and ability to inspire individuals to improve performance.

PREFERRED

  • 3 or more years post-degree Quality Engineering experieince
  • ASQC/CQM/CQE certification
  • Specific education / training and applied experience in Quality disciplines is preferred. Including: IATF16949, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, AIAG Advanced Quality Planning, PPAP, D/PFMEAs, Control Plans, DOEs, MSA/gaging/fixturing, GD&T, Dimensional layouts, Manufacturing Quality Systems and SPC.
  • Understanding of PPAP procedures/requirements, APQP
  • Understanding of coordinate measuring equipment for dimensional verification
  • 2+ years industrial/manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge and application of statistics & SPC
  • Knowledge of vehicle interior parts and assemblies, and related part constructions and/or designs
