Job Description
Job Title: Bank Branch Manager
Department: Retail Banking
Reports To: Area Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY Manages various financial transactions and sells financial prodcuts and services and manages the day to day activities of a branch personally or through subordinate supervisors.


Coordinates day-to-day activities of branch including deposit growth, compliance , operations and the hiring, training and development of branch personnel.

Oversees the flow of cash and financial instruments in accordance with company policy.

Assesses risk of all financial transactions executed by organization personnel.

Collects data to analyze the present and future financial status of the organization.

Directs, coordinates, and monitors activities to implement institution's policies and procedures.

Contacts customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.

Compiles and reports financial data as required by organization and government regulations.

May develop and recommend plans for expansion of existing programs and operations. Talks to customers to resolve account problems.

Establishes and maintains contact with banking-related industries such as insurance, real estate, and securities.

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages 1-4 employees in the Retail Branch. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three years Bank Branch Manager experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good customer service skills required.
