POSITION SUMMARY: This position is vital to the creation and visual direction of Midwest Eye Consultants. The VCS will effectively exhibit and communicate the products and services of the organization by delivering consistent visual marketing messages via, digital, print and video.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Creates presentations and marketing materials.
  • Provides professional level photography.
  • Develops graphics and layouts for product illustrations.
  • Assists others within the marketing department with brainstorming the creative process, tracking of campaigns, ordering materials, and visual presentations.
  • Creates graphics for all digital marketing.
  • Proofs marketing materials to ensure accuracy.
  • Possesses the ability to effectively utilize:
    • Adobe Creative Suite / iMovie and Premier Pro / Office 365
  • Develops and maintains MWEC’s Visual Standards Policy and Corporate Style Guide.
  • Creates and tests new marketing initiatives.
  • Participates in strategic and project meetings as needed including weekly Marketing/Creative meetings for updates, brainstorming, and project reviews.
  • Provides detailed analysis and reports requested by supervisor.
  • Performs additional duties and projects as required.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design preferred, or adequate industry experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as Graphic Designer is required. Experience to include digital marketing, creative photography, and Adobe Creative Suite, including experience in PC/MAC. Provide portfolio showing abilities in photography, graphic design, and illustration.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines):

  • Physical Activity: Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motion.
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Occasional travel is required for this position, and requires a valid driver’s license.

 

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:

The Visual Communications Specialist is required to research design and marketing trends on an ongoing basis in order to provide relevant marketing pieces, and will attend educational seminars related to marketing and digital fields to maintain an understanding of the following areas:

  • Digital marketing and social media
  • Latest design trends
  • New Design programs
  • Eye care industry
