Share Email Opening Title Loan Servicing Specialist I   Description Job Description Job Title: Loan Servicing Specialist I Department: Loan Servicing and Assistance Reports to: Manager of Loan Servicing and Assistance FLSA Status: Non-Exempt   Summary: Individuals in the job are responsible for assisting Tropical Financial Credit Union in the achievement of its purpose of guiding members successfully through the financial marketplace. Additionally, this position is responsible for processing all related servicing data entry functions and maintaining secured paper documents in a control secure vault room for all loan types.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Provide service that meets the Service Standards defined by Tropical Financial Credit Union and achieve annual goals that are established through the Performance Management Process. Process daily loan servicing work duties that includes, boarding new first mortgage loans, scan loan files, retrieve loan files that are paid off and send to outside storage. Scan daily work for lending units. Pickup, record and distribute mail. Keep all loan files in the vault custody area in order and on a timely basis. Track the files that are retrieved from the vault room. Work on reports provided by the Loan Servicing Manager. Complete post-closing loan functions for home equity and first mortgage loans, and consumer loans. Compliance: BSA Compliance - every employee is required to uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions within TFCU will take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department. In addition to any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Departments. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending and Credit Card Act. Comply with all TFCU policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such regulations. Ability to meet deadlines in an organized and timely fashion, and work independently, with minimal supervision at times.   Education and/or Experience High School plus additional course work in areas such as clerical work, financial services and customer service. Two years of banking and customer service experience required and one year working in a lending environment preferred. Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook Communication with internal departments is moderate with minimal external communication. Team player with supportive and motivational orientation Commitment to continuous improvement evident in attitude and work performed   Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or touch. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, ability to access loan files using ladder. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to focus.
