HIRING POOL FOR 2021/2022

This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates
to fill future vacancies as they occur.

 

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS is seeking adaptable, team-players with a passion for customer service. The department is a full service, combination emergency response organization, managing the fire protection and emergency medical service system. Duties require strenuous physical exertion under extreme conditions, the ability to exercise exceptional judgment, sometimes in a split-second decision-making situation. Shift assignments are on a rotating 48/96 schedule. Starting Salary range $46,791 - $52,940 depending on qualifications.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Firefighter/EMT (Basic): Firefighter I and EMT-Basic certification.
  • Firefighter/EMT (Intermediate): Firefighter II and EMT-Intermediate certification.
  • Firefighter/Paramedic: Firefighter II and Paramedic license.

Position Requirements

Firefighter/EMT(Basic)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND recent Fire Department experience preferred; OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. To be hired into full-time position, must obtain certification as EMT-I from Wyoming Department of Health and Firefighter II within 12 months of hire date.

 

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certification as an EMT-B from Wyoming Department of Health.
  • Firefighter I

 

Firefighter/EMT(Intermediate)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one year of Fire Department experience, preferably with JHF/EMS; OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

 

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • Firefighter II
  • Advanced Emergency Medical Technician license from Wyoming Department of Health.

 

Firefighter/Paramedic

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND three years Fire Department experience, preferably with JHF/EMS; OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

 

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • Firefighter II
  • Paramedic license from Wyoming Department of Health.
