Description or Job Summary

The Hospitality Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the hospitality and dining departments at Miralea and Meadow, and for meeting or exceeding hospitality and service standards. Must be able to meet budgetary guidelines, forecast necessary department needs, and train, supervise and manage all members of the Hospitality Services Team. Responsible for all front-of-the-house activity, including catering and special events.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, staff, organize and coordinate all activities in dining areas.

  • Responsible for continuous evaluation and Quality Assurance audits of Dining Services.

  • Be available to provide timely service support to dining room personnel as needed.

  • Assist Executive Director and Executive Chef in the development of operating budgets.

  • Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene and health standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Hold regular in-services and training sessions with staff to ensure excellence in customer service and food delivery.

 
Position Requirements

Position Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of an accredited course in food service training

  • Two years food service experience with knowledge of volume preparation, room service, catering for private parties and banquets, decorative buffets, and special events.

  • Able to provide dining services to Independent Living residents and their guests that exceed hospitality and service standards.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with residents, guests, employees and supervisors.

  • Ability to plan and direct work of others.

  • Must be able to work all holidays. weekends, and for pre-planned special events.

 

Environmental Adaptability

  • Works primarily indoors in a climate controlled setting

  • Possible exposure to unpleasant odors

  • Possible exposure to chemicals as identified in the MSDS Manual
