The Motorhand orders tools and replacement parts for these engines and is responsible for testing the machinery for operability and safety and is required to clean and maintain engines at all times. They also operate and maintain the boiler systems. Motorhands are responsible for the training, supervising and assisting of other crew members as required. Actively participates in the promotion of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policies and ensure safe working practices and conditions Reports immediately any incident or accident Attends daily safety meeting Maintains an up to date training schedule as per requirements Participates in pre-task safety meetings prior to any tasks that require them Maintains a solid understanding of all equipment and operational policies and procedures Executes tasks as they are provided by senior crew members Ensures communication of all activities being conducted is maintained between any parties participating in the function Ensures all tasks are being completed in a safe and efficient manner Wage is $29.00/hr AKITA offers comprehensive benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision PPO plans, Short/Long Term Disability, Life Insurance/ADD, Flexible Spending Accounts and Safe Harbor 401k   Position Requirements Mechanical aptitude At least one year progressive rig based experience preferred Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as per the operation which may include any combination of the following: Steel Toed boots, safety glasses, hard hat, work gloves, chemical apron and gloves, approved respiratory device, face shield, goggles, protective hearing devices, safety harness Ability to perform work outside with prolonged exposure to the environment, both hot and cold, and may also involve prolonged exposure to wet or damp conditions (working in rain, snow, and sleet) Ability to have reliable transportation and arrive on time to the assigned worksite Ability to work 14 days on and 14 days off, or 20 days on and 10 days off, including holidays, weekends, and/or days and/or nights   Position Motorhand   About the Organization AKITA Drilling is an onshore drilling rig service provider that works with leading operators around the world.
