Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC for a Navy client. The ideal candidate will:

  • Join a 10-12-member team that works closely with the customer and other teams to provide management oversight in Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) efforts.
  • Develop plans, schedules, and budgets to meet contractual requirements for a portion of a program. 
  • Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess program process issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving program planning, control, and execution. 
  • Prepare/analyze funding/execution reports. 
  • Interact with Senior Level Military and Government officials, participate in communicating status to upper level management, review, design and implement process changes. 
  • Develop documentation, reports, and project plans and prepares and may present briefings and staff seminars. 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • 5 to 7 years of directly related experience in a government financial environment.
  • Hands-on experience using any of the following Navy databases: Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA); Program Budget Information System (PBIS), Procurement Budget Justification Documents (PDOCS), and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
  • An active Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in or with a government budget office. 
  • Experience as member of Navy Program contractor team.
