Share Email Opening Title Housing Processor & Housing Locator   Description Wyandot BHN is seekign a dedicated Housing Processor & Housing Locator to support the implementation and maintenance of rental housing voucher programs. The voucher program may include, but is not limited to, Shelter Plus Care vouchers and Rental Assistance Program vouchers, Tenant-based Rental Assistance vouchers, Wyandot Rental Assistance Program vouchers and/or other housing assistance programs that may be added. The Housing Voucher Processor will provide support and assistance with various residential permanent housing programs provided by Kim Wilson Housing, Inc. (KWH), and community partners. The primary focus will be to process and manage the housing vouchers, ensuring compliance with funding contracts, and/or federal and state regulations and transport clients to/from housing appointments. Essential Job Duties: Ensures compliance with KWH, state and federal policies and rental housing voucher program guidelines. Completes and maintains consistent service delivery evaluations and communicates with program participants, landlords, and case managers throughout the state of Kansas and Missouri and with the KSH team. Shares housing expertise via coaching participants and works with participants, case managers, and landlords to ensure program guidelines are met and housing stability is maintained. Performs adminstrative tasks, including but not limited to, annual recertifcations, adjust rent income calculation when applicable, prepare rent reasonablness and conduct high quality sandards inspections Works to assist clients to eliminate barriers to finding housing by making referrals to community resources. Educate participants on how to use various websites or other community resources to locate housing. Transports housing program participants to and from appointesnts in the community.   Position Requirements Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in the human services field, with emphasis preferably in social work, psychology, rehabilitation or related field, or four years of equivalent experience in community mental health. Housing voucher processor or housing locator experience strongly preferred. Must be able to work well with deadlines during times of high housing referral activity. Previous experene woring in a CMHC envrionement a plus. Experience using Microsoft Office products.
