Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):
This position provides technical support for engineers working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement. Work pertains to electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. The technician is required to have some practical knowledge of science or engineering.
Position may require a practical knowledge of mathematics or computer science including prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment.
Skills / Certifications:
Proficient in technology tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint required
Advanced Microsoft Excel and efficient in Word
Microsoft SharePoint experience a plus
Customer service oriented; must be detail-oriented
Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills; build trusted partnership with internal and external customers
Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment
Flexible and adaptable to changing environment
Ability to interface with all levels of management
Ability to work well independently or in a team setting
Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language
Education and Work Experience:
High School Degree, Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s Degree
2 to 15 years of experience in technical role supporting GSA or other Federal and Government agencies
Demonstrated ability to adapt and manage effectively in a fast-paced challenging environment and manage multiple, and often competing priorities
Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision under a system of discipline and accountability
Experience working with GSA Region 1
Professional knowledge of engineering theory and principles.
