Job Description
Black Rock Mountain Resort is a brand new, one of a kind condo-hotel development perfectly situated adjacent to the Jordanelle Reservoir in Park City, Utah. Between our ideal location, luxurious accommodations and gorgeous amenities, Black Rock Mountain Resort is primed to become Park City’s next year-round, world class destination - and we’re looking for people who are passionate about hospitality to help us achieve that goal.
As the first and last impression of Black Rock Mountain Resort, our valet & bell staff will work hand in hand with our Front Desk Team to ensure guests have a smooth experience from arrival to departure.
Duties / Tasks:
Enter the workplace at scheduled time, in uniform and ready to begin work.
Provide consistently superior service to our guests at all times.
Develop & maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to achieve common goals.
Assist guests with luggage, including loading & unloading, & show guests to their rooms.
Open doors & assist guests entering / leaving the property.
Provide information about the resort and local area and respond to guest requests and concerns. Explain resort facilities, their location within the resort & hours of operation.
Secure items for guests in appropriate storage areas as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the luggage closet, valet station, luggage carts and other storage areas. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the Front Lobby & entrance to the resort.
Assist in parking cars; may serve as backup shuttle driver as needed.
Log all valeted vehicles in and out of the valet system.
Monitor and direct vehicle traffic on property to ensure vehicles are legally parked and to maintain a smooth flow of traffic.
Monitor and maintain safety, security and cleanliness of parking areas and report any safety hazards, unauthorized personnel or potential security problems to the manager.
Maintain security of vehicles and vehicle keys.
Communicate parking procedures to guests & visitors.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age with a clean driving record & valid license - REQUIRED
High school diploma / GED - preferred
Previous related guest service or hospitality experience - preferred
Ability to drive manual transmission.
Must be friendly and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain a calm, courteous demeanor and positive, upbeat attitude with guests and coworkers.
Ability to lift luggage of varying sizes up to 50 lbs.
Must speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace and by the guests.
Good personal hygiene and neat appearance.
Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and stay calm under pressure.
Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated and able to work well with or without supervision.

Full time and part time available

Physical:
This job requires the ability to carry and lift heavy objects of varying sizes up to 50 pounds, handling guests’ luggage and packages, bending, stooping and kneeling. May be required to work nights, weekends and / or holidays. Constant standing and walking throughout shift, with environmental exposures to weather, cold and heat.
