Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Mechanic   Position Mechanic   Description NOW HIRING A FLEET MECHANIC - WILL TRAIN!  The Landings Association looking for a mechanic to manage the maintenance and repair of The Landings fleet vehicles and small engines. The primary duty of The Association’s mechanic is to inspects, diagnose, and maintain and repair vehicles and equipment to include heavy equipment and small engines   The Landings Association fully believes in the hiring philosophy of  "Hire for attitude --Train for skill".  If you have basic auto-mechanic knowledge, and would like to learn and grow in your career, TLA may be the right place for you! The Association will pay for courses and testing to complete the Automotive Service Excellence exams. (ASE’s) G1 and A1 through A8: G1- Auto Maintenance and Light Repair A1 – Engine Repair A2 – Automatic Transmission/Transaxle A3 – Manual Drive Train & Axles A4 – Suspension & Steering A5 – Brakes A6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems A7 – Heating & Air Conditioning A8 – Engine Performance Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behavioral Characteristics Needed Proficient in the use of pneumatic tools, power tools, hand tools, tire changer/balancer, diagnostic equipment, vehicle lifts and A/C manifold, General knowledge of gas and diesel engines with hydraulic systems Basic welding skills Skill in the reading and interpretation of manuals and schematics Ability to look up and interpret SDS sheets and produce labels Ability to maintain accurate fleet records and documentation of work Knowledge of safety hazards and proper safety practices associated with job responsibilities Ability to measure chemicals safely and accurately?
