Description

This position is not currently funded and is pursuant on MCSG being awarded this contract.

JOB SUMMARY: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) Software Engineering Division (SED) is responsible for the engineering of software and information systems through all phases (formulation through on-orbit operations/decommissioning) of NASA programs and projects. Under the direction of the Director of Program Management, this position will act as the overall program manager and administrator for the Software Engeering Services III (SES III) contract effort for all locations and provide on-site program management support.

PRIMARY DUTIES: The Program Manager position will provide on-site management of the contract. The Program Manager must serve as the primary interface and point-of- contact (POC) with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program issues.

 

  • Manage and administer the overall contract effort.

 

  • Provide on-site management of this contract. Serve as point of contact (POC) with program authorities and representatives on technical and project issues.

 

  • Perform program management, to include providing and orchestrating resources, financial management, administering contract actions, monitoring performance, making recommendations for improvement, and by supporting meetings as they relate to activities to include the transition of projects.

 

  • Supervise program operations by planning, developing and directing execution of the technical, engineering, training, programmatic and administrative support effort.

 

  • Contribute to developing processes and procedures, plans/direct execution of the technical, engineering, programmatic and administrative support efforts, and monitor the reporting progress.

 

  • Contribute to updating and revising aviation safety-related programs and provide recommendations to management regarding programs that will advance transportation technology goals and objectives.

 

  • Provide monitoring and reporting of progress in program milestones.

 

  • Prepare and maintain an up-to-date Project Management Plan (PMP).

 

  • Plan, organize, manage, and coordinate/track project tasks by utilizing Resource Management, Data Management, and Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and other project management software.

 

  • Provide support for tasks associated with analysis, design, development and revision of products such as training courses and other knowledge sharing methods such as SharePoint/Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN). Training may include instructor-led training, web-based training, virtual instructor-led training, event training and other types of material.

 

  • Development. Studies are used to ultimately provide data for the creation of computer models.

 

  • Manage and control administrative aspects of the program with respect to contract requirements.
 
Position Requirements

Experience: 15 years of relevant experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Certification: PMP

Security Clearance: TS/SCI
