Description

The Target Manager will ensure the AOC’s targeting requirements are properly prioritized validated, and where possible, battle damage assessment (BDA) is satisfied from available collection platforms/assets.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Conduct targeting planning and execution in close coordination with other planners to
    garner required effects to satisfy commander’s objectives.
  • Integrate targeting scheme against prioritized operational and tactical collection plans in efforts to produce and disseminate Phase I/II BDA requirements.
  • Build Joint-Target Lists (JTL), target imagery, imagery product library (IPL), and
    target folders (kinetic and non-kinetic) for all target sets as directed by commander’s objectives.
  • Identify and pre-build targeting products for those projected time-sensitive targeting (TST) and high-value targets (HVT) as dictated by exercise scenario and vignette construction.
  • Disseminate the targeting and related Collection Management (CM) plans/products to
    appropriate units/agencies.
  • Coordinate daily planning and execution with required AOC
    organizations to include Combat Plans, Combat Ops, CM, ISR, SIDO, and associated
    organizations outside the AOC to include joint and coalition agencies/organizations.
  • Perform targeting functions and construct applicable products using current
    applications/procedures to include MIDB construction, Joint Targeting Toolset (JTT), IPIR and MISREP TTPS, GCCS-I3 , PRISM, NTM planning tools, DGS FMV products, JIPTL production tools, ect.
  • Perform targeting requirements management and maintain a targeting product
    database to include kinetic/NK folders, IPLs, and continuity binders of targeting
    processes/procedures.
  • Coordinate with the C/JFC collection managers to deconflict tasking for national,
    theater, and component ISR assets to ensure efficient use of limited ISR assets and prevent
    unintentional, redundant coverage to support Phase I/II BDA TTPs.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
